Bolts utilized in the above-listed kits may break unexpectedly when over-torqued and subjected to forces experienced during a crash or similar impact. This could result in injuries to the rider in the event of a fall.

Taper Bolt Replacement Instructions
Please look
at the below illustrations and find your application to see which bolts to
replace.
IMPORTANT NOTE! YOU MUST USE A TORQUE
WRENCH TO CORRECTLY TIGHTEN REPLACEMENT HARDWARE.
Upper and lower triple clamp pinch bolts must be tightened to 17.5 lb-ft of
torque and the handlebar clamp bolts must be tightened to 14 lb-ft.
Under each bolt kit number is the
corresponding number that it fits.

A: Tucker Rocky is conducting this recall to keep our customers safe and to prevent injuries by removing all potentially weak bolts.

Q: How can I tell if the bolts in the clamp kit
on my motorcycle are affected by the recall?
A: If you have purchased and installed an Upper Triple Clamp Kit, Complete Triple Clamp Kits, Universal Solid and Rubber Mount Kit, or a Replacement Bolt Kit, your product may be affected. If the product number on the clamp is included in the following list, the bolts in the clamp are affected by this recall:
02-2845, 02-2843, 02-2824, 02-2846, 02-2844, 02-2825, 02-2826, 02-2827,
02-2849, 02-2828, 02-2829, 02-2851, 02-2780, 02-2830, 02-2839, 02-2840,
02-2831, 02-2832, 02-2848, 02-2833, 02-2847, 02-2850, 02-2834, 02-2852,
02-2853, 02-2854, 02-2855, 02-2821, 02-2886, 02-2822 and 02-2855.
The
bolts at issues were sold from approximately October 1, 2007 through March 26,
2008. If there is any doubt as to
whether your product is affected, please call us and we will send you
replacement bolts.

Q: What is the problem with my bolts?
A: A small percentage of the bolts included in the kits identified above are more prone to break when over-torqued and exposed to extreme forces, such as those experienced during a crash.

I have subjected my bolts to extreme forces, and they appear to withstand them,
can I continue to use the bolts on my motorcycle?
A: No.
Although your product appears to be safe, we are asking all customers to
immediately stop using the bolts and participate in the recall by calling 1-866-217-7750, and requesting
